About me

My name is Etienne Verdier, I am 39 years old, and I am French. I have a strong passion for sports, particularly running.

Each story is unique and deserves to be considered with the greatest care to lead you toward movement recovery. I have treated many different patients in my professional life but my passion for the sport has also led me to be the osteopath for the French Guiana Football team in 2016.  I also worked as a physiotherapist/ osteopath alongside the French Guiana Youth Handball team in 2019 and 2020. Overseeing athletes, especially runners and trailers, and creating prevention measures and follow-ups, as well as training plans, is something I am highly experienced in.

Osteopathy for whom, why, and how?

Osteopathic patients range from babies to the elderly, including athletes. Patients seek treatment for a wide variety of conditions, including back pain, changes to posture in pregnancy, postural problems caused by driving or work strain, the pain of arthritis, and sports injuries.

Osteopathy treatment detects and treats damaged muscles, ligaments, nerves, and joints… and helps your body recover its balance and efficiency.

The practice of osteopathy uses osteopathic, medical, and scientific knowledge and applies it to patient diagnosis and treatment.

The aim of osteopathy is to improve and support all aspects of health and healthy development. Osteopathic treatment may be preventive, curative, palliative or adjuvant. Osteopaths analyse and evaluate the structural and functional integrity of the body using critical reasoning of osteopathic principles to inform individual diagnosis and treatment of the patient.

Physiotherapy for whom, why and, how?

Physiotherapy is a science-based profession that helps people affected by injury, illness, or disability through movement and exercise, manual therapy, education, and advice. The profession helps to encourage development and facilitate recovery, enabling people to stay in work while helping them remain independent for as long as possible.

It takes a ‘whole person approach to health and well-being, including the patient’s general lifestyle. You can benefit from physiotherapy at any time in your life. Physiotherapy helps with back pain or sudden injury, managing long-term medical conditions such as asthma, and asthma, and in preparing for childbirth or a sporting event.

At the core is the patient’s involvement in their own care, through education, awareness, empowerment, and participation in their treatment.
